Activities and Results

Following its strategic commitment, Documática was present at GITEX Technology Week 2020 which took place between 6 and 10 of December 2020 at Dubai.

Documática took the opportunity to announce the launching of a series of new Products in SmartPayment, SmartCash and Intelligent Automation whose development was based on several areas of Artificial Intelligence, namely Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision and Image Processing:

Cognitive Payment Systems — Secure Check Services for real-time analysis of banking checks, detecting fraud attempts and ensuring their authenticity.

Intelligent Automation — Easy Capture Kiosk aimed at 24x7 self-service Document Submission, delivers solutions that make customer's lives easier and increase Service Provider's efficiency. With Easy Document it is possible to deploy a Digital Service Desk in which one may submit autonomously required documents for a business process, e.g. Client Onboarding or Expenses Refunds.

Predictive Cash Management and Automation — SmartCash Prediktor adds intelligence to the business process by handing out predictive information on 3 axes: valuables availability, operational fraud and equipment failure.

Predictive Cash Management and Automation — Easy Payment Kiosk oriented for 24x7 self-service payments, offers several payment and authentication methods.

In this new world in which business activity is ever more global and human face to face business ever less common, Documática expects to achieve through these new Products a set of significant benefits for enterprises, namely, more efficiency, human error reduction, fraud attempt detection and information enrichment by transforming it into knowledge in the context of each specific business process.

These new Products caused great interest and receptivity with the public. The new contacts made in the event already gave way to some follow ups, and there is great potential to realize new partnerships with local companies and new deals.

Participating in GITEX Technology Week 2020, a landmark technology event in the Middle East and Africa, was a privilege to Documática affirming an European and most notably, a Portuguese presence in these markets. This fact was not missed by the journalists, who interviewed our CEO for Zorins TV, a local TV channel.

By the end of 2020, and despite all constraints imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Documática has already realized 26% of the investment estimated for the project.
